Week 1

This past weekend the 18th we had a See You At The Pole Rally in the PPAC her at IWU. It was a community outreach sponsored by Lakeview Wesleyan. Me and some other guys were "security" and made sure that other the kids behaved themselves. We got some pretty cool t-shirts out of the deal so that is a plus! We went at 5 and the service started around 6:30 and ran for about 2 1/2 hours. There was a long worship session followed by a personal testimony from a guy named Evan who is in our youth group. He talked about reaching out to your friends at school and it was really cool to hear a high schooler speak like he did. Adrian Dupree spoke afterwards and he brought a very good message. He is the chaplain for the University of South Carolina football team and has alot of cool experiences that he shared. I really go to see what a man of God looks like through him and his outgoing personality really added to his ministry. Overall, the evening showed me a big event and what happens behind the scenes. I am really anxious to see where God is going to lead me in this practicum and to see how involved I am going to be! Looking forward to the whole semester spent at Lakeview!
